It’s now official .. well, not really but as I was saying .. I have left my university life and decided to look for work.

The Web Design course wasn’t working out the way I wanted, so I decided to drop out, again!

It makes more sense to me to look for employment within a web design company and to gain the experience and qualifications that way. Learning new languages myself is much better than wasting time on a pointless course that won’t teach me what I want to learn anyway.

Looking at my ‘results’ I at least managed to complete two ICA’s, albeit group ones. I have also been referred .. but what too I don’t know, and I’m not too bothered about.

Hopefully I can manage to find a job sometime soon. Bill’s need to be paid!

Due to my recent hard-drive death I have lost my Website Development ICA when the formatting took place.

I hadn’t managed to upload it to my server which I regret.
The deadline is June 1st so I’ll have the opportunity to redo it, whether I should bother to I can’t decide, since I’ll be failing the course anyway; leaving university life; and looking for training and work with web design employers. This will be more beneficial to me as I will learn a lot more and have an equal chance to gain a qualification while training with a company.

I may decide to do it, and add it into my portfolio.

Well it was inevitable. The course officially sucks!

I hate it. With the exception to the Web Development module, which is my favorite and the only one I like, the course has nothing to do with Web Design. It’s aimed more towards game animation, with like characters and levels and stuff.

Put those skills into a website. I haven’t learned anything new, other than a little bit on how to use Flash 8. Don’t ask me what though.

I think my time would have been better spent teaching myself PHP & Ajax & JavaScript & *enter other languages here* .. but not c++, I hate that.

Pfftt, another year wasted. Geez, my life sucks. New topic title: Life Really Sucks, I could make a whole series about the suckness of stuff.

Well I’ve officially broke up for Christmas, well last Friday but any-whoo I’m off.

Still have ICA’s to complete mind, the second piece of Web Development Part One; one for Concept Design; and one for Digital Content Development.

These hols are going to fly by, especially with my driving theory in January .. I’ll wake up and it will be next year.

Don’t really know what’s happening for Crimbo, I’m going to my mams for dinner and I think we’re going for a drink, but that’s it. Probably all that will happen too.

Still have no idea what to buy people, they don’t make it easy for me .. suppose I’ll just bake a few cakes and have done with it.

Well I’m back on now and decided to fill you in on how my degree is going.

It’s great. I have finally started one ICA in Web Development. We have to create a research site for first year undergrad students, with content about one video and it needs to have at least 15 pages.

Arghh, thank f00k we’re in groups.

I’m also making a flash movie, which is erm, lets just move on

Still need to get the train up, don’t have a car yet …

Can’t think of much else at the mo.

Well that was one hell of a slowwww booorriiinnngg week!

All we done was get introduced to our modules we’re studying.

Just start the god damn things I just want to get started with the work.

I’ve found myself getting really tired this week, I am right now in fact; falling asleep as I type

The modules I’m studying are as follows:

• Concept Design
• Web Site Development
• Drawing & Composition 1
• Interactive Animation
• Digital Content Development
• Professional Studies

D&C 1 is an option and I get to draw things, so I chose it. Although I’m no good at drawing things.

I am now officially once again a lazy, larger drinking, sleep through lectures .. er, ahem, a Student

Last year never went great for me, so this time I’ve transferred my course and am enrolled within the School of Computing … and maths, but that’s not important!

I have decided on a degree in Web Design. Hehe, make some money out of what I do anyway.

Only been there two days, today of which we went bowling then sat in the pub and won a t-shirt. :/

Don’t have my time-table yet, that’s next week, although it may change daily. :o_O:

I have a swipe card and everything this time round, didn’t get f00k all last year, much better organised in the SCM
