Still OK.

Another driving lesson, another dolle pound. £10 to be exact!
My last lesson went ok, had one or two misjudgements. First with a tow bar on the back of a van and the second,
“I wondered what those orange lights where”
.. coming up too fast behind a 4×4 that had stopped. Idiot, stopping in the middle of the road while another car turned off, pfftt.
Haha, it’s all good.
I shall hopefully book in the actual practical test soon, as long as I can make my gear changes smoother, and perfect my already perfect to sometimes crap manoeuvres.
I passed (Theory).

I previously blogged that I had booked in my theory test, here I believe.
After a ten minute search for the test centre, which I phoned Paul to direct me to, I “signed in” and sat down in the waiting room, having placed my belongings in a locker .. phone rings, it’s my mam; “I’ll phone you back” I say and hang up, this time switching it off.
After a few moments I’m called to take the test. It is a hell of a lot easier than using the st00pid disks at home; it’s slower and more understandable; and uses touch-screen technology, ooo fancy.
A long story short, I guess .. I collected my results and whooped with joy in the corridor as I saw I had passed.
- The Multiple Choice netted me 33/35 – the 2 I got wrong I had changed twice over, when reviewing. Ah well, life’s a bitch.
- The Hazard Perception netted me 58/75 – not all bad considering I was rubbish at it.
Have my next driving lesson on Wednesday, I’ll be going through the manoeuvres again and hammering the looking around part.
After that we’ll start talking about booking the practical, but not before a mock test, which I needed to demand .. Paul’s only done 5 in 13 years, “well I’ll be the sixth then” I stated .. a mock test I get.
Need to buy a car now!
Theory bookage!

OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!!
I’ve actually booked in my theory tests.
I can’t actually believe I got round to doing it, but I have so woo.
Had to do it online though, tried phoning them up and all I got was a st00pid automated robotic machine with less sense than a computer with a hard-drive failure.
January the 3rd next year is the test date, at 1pm .. could of had later days but they where at 9am.
.. Do you honestly think I’d be able to wake up for that time.
I’ve got to sit and hammer the hazard perception disk, the crappy one since the other still wont work. Paul said he’ll help me out with it as long as I book in, so hopefully I will get his laptop again.
Rrrr, hope I get somewhere from this, £21 odd is quite a bit of moneh!
Learner drivers.

Went driving again last night (Tuesday), was a great lesson, performed a few manoeuvres to keep me on my toes.
At one point I was stuck behind a learner driver
sheesh, taking their time .. I mean under 20mph on a 30mph road, come on.
Paul sent the guy a text (the number was on the back of the car) and told him to “shift your arse”
They still didn’t move though.
We spotted one of Paul’s ex pupils, how gormless can you get. If someone was flashing their lights, beeping their horn, sticking main beams on through your rear window (it was dark so we couldn’t have been missed) you would get out and stamp on there heads!
But no, this guy sat there.
Yep, just sat there. So we were “following” him for a bit so Paul could abuse him.
.. Then he got away over the pavement outside Redcar Bowl, I drove in the car park.
Ah well, teh bay parking was done.
I think next lesson I’m doing the hazard perception on Paul’s laptop, since it wont work on my computer.
More driving at night.

Well, I’ve had yet another driving lesson .. plus a few others but meh
Since it’s Winter and getting darker earlier I will be having quite a few lessons in the dark.
I had one today and it was good, not as fun as the previous one but still good
I went through the manoeuvres again and done great on each, never parallel parked though :| must be excellent at it
I did get quizzed on my theory for the fourth time, and only got one wrong, the first I’ve every got wrong while in the car!
stupid quiz book *pokes quiz book*
My next lesson is in the dark, at 4pm .. wonder what I’ll be doing then.
Still no booking of the theory, can’t do the hazard perception
tried to borrow my mams laptop as the disk won’t work on my computer . . . she said no.
Can’t even get one from uni, everybody’s meaaaaaaaaaaaan.

Yay, I’ve done some night driving.
Last Monday at 7.30pm we ended up past Guisborough; Saltburn; Lingdale; and somewhere else
At one point I turned left instead of going straight on.
But I ended up on a pitch black; single laned; back road which was fun
We turned the lights off and used a torch to see the road.
Good job no cars were coming!
My next lesson’s on Tuesday, if your interested
Lesson bookage.

Woohoo
I finally have a lesson booked in. *dances round the room*
Paul drove past my house one normal day. Normal, at least, until I sent him a message. Then it became a dark, gloomy .. told you I could be a writer.
Any-whoo, I have myself a lesson next Wednesday (27th September). It’s at 5pm though.
I should be back from uni then, I hope. I’ll let you know what I get up to.
Huh!

No lesson for two weeks!
I’m still waiting for Paul to phone me from last night .. I’ll have to ring him back, make sure he knows I want a lesson.
I’ll have to go through my manoeuvres again, once isn’t really enough even though I aced them all.
The Bay Parking was shaky but I got in, so it counts.
Not doing too well on the Hazard Perception ..
Have to get it booked in soon … “that’s all I seem to blog about”
“Paul”

I shouted, but there was no answer. I looked out into the street, the blue Nissan Micra I spend an hour a week driving was nowhere to be seen.
I could be a story writer
No lesson this week, thought I’d share since I don’t say much else. Still no bookage of the theory tests . . .
I need to learn the hazard perception stuff
Maneuvers.

Not blogged much on my driving lately, not really blogged much on anything else either.
The lessons are going great, I’m near the end of the teachable lessons so it will be all practice soon.
In the past two lessons I’ve done manoeuvres, Parallel Parking and Reversing Around Corners, parking was easy, the reversing around a corner was a bit shaky first time round but easy the second.
I need to book in my theory tests though.
